Wire brush surface to remove all loose flaky rust.
Do not brush down to bare metal: XionLab Rust Converter product bonds best to a rusty surface.
Wipe away debris with a cloth, brush or air pressure. All grease and oil must be completely removed from the surface. rinse thoroughly.
Stir the product thoroughly until a smooth. Even consistency is obtained.
Apply the product with a brush. roller or sprayer. Make sure the metal surface is uniformly covered. for spray application: dilute with up to 15% water to a 0.5-1 mil dry film thickness.
Allow the 2-in-1 converter & primer to dry completely for 48 hours before applying a top coat. If a top coat is to be applied using only one coat of product.
IF not applying a top coat, a 2nd coat of product may be applied before the first coat has dried within 2 to 4 hours.
