We are Ben and Sarah, the husband and wife/founders of Just Bee and co-founders with our young daughters of Lappy Lips.

Experimenting and perfecting different formulations, Sarah found a unique blend that was thicker and more protective than other lip balms on the market.

After we shared our creations with our family and friends, we started selling our lip balms in small, local businesses. Our product line has steadily grown since then!

In 2017 we helped our daughters create Lappy Lips - lip balm made by and for kids (with a little help from us!)

In every product we use only the high quality ingredients, that are clean, cruelty-free, bee friendly and 100% natural. We hope they nourish and protect you.

Its true - honey bees collect nectar from flowers to create honey. Honey bees have 2 separate stomachs - a regular stomach and a honey stomach. The bee sucks up nectar using it’s tube-like tongue and can store up to 70 mg of nectar.

After collecting nectar, the honey bee returns to its hive and passes the nectar to other worker bees. They chew the nectar for half an hour, a process where enzymes from the honey bee’s stomach break down complex sugar in the nectars to simple sugars to make it digestible for the bee and less likely attacked by bacteria while its stored.

The worker bees then spread the nectar in the honeycomb and fan it with their wings, making the nectar to a thicker syrup. Once thick enough, the honey bees seal it off with a plug of wax.

Essential oils have unique properties known to nourish, protect and heal. Each Lappy Lip flavor is formulated with this in mind.

Essential oils are compounds extracted from plants that capture the plant’s scent, flavor and healing properties. Essential oils are composed of very small molecules that can penetrate your cells.

Each essential oil contains compounds with unique healing and therapeutic benefits. Lappy Lips and Just Bee offer a variety of bee-infused products with organic essential oils - you get the properties and benefits of hand gathered beeswax and organic essential oils.

Honeybees produce a natural wax that serves as a physical protection, and helps keep their hive free of infections and other contaminants.

Beeswax offers a host of benefits for people - it forms a protective barrier, holds in moisture and reduces dryness. It's naturally nontoxic and won't clog pores. Is also a humectant - it attracts water - is a good source of Vitamin A, which helps exfoliation, and offers rejuvenation.

We strive to educate and inspire people - including kids - using the products the bees offer, along with words and illustrations to encourage good health and well-being.
