Rust-Oleum Concrete & Garage Floor Recoat Primer

Use Recoat Primer Over ANY Coated Surface

Rust-Oleum Concrete & Garage Recoat Primer is a water-based acrylic primer designed to coat previously sealed or coated concrete surfaces without sanding or grinding. Its one-part formula simplifies application and allows priming and top coating in the same day. Suitable for interior and exterior use, it can be applied to garage floors, basements, carports, patios, and properly prepared bare, etched concrete. This primer covers up to 400 sq. ft. per gallon on smooth surfaces and creates a uniform base that promotes adhesion for additional Rust-Oleum floor coatings, including water and solvent-based systems like Seal Krete, RockSolid, or EpoxyShield. It dries in as little as 6 hours for recoating and supports full traffic after 72 hours, making it an efficient solution for recoating worn concrete floors.

Recoat primer bonds to previously coated or sealed concrete, creating a fresh, uniform surface without the need for sanding or grinding. It helps cover worn or uneven areas and provides a consistent base that improves adhesion for new floor coatings. By preparing the surface for a topcoat in as little as one day, it simplifies the recoating process and helps ensure proper performance of the final finish.
